WHAT TO DO IF A WIRE BECOMES BOTHERSOME...
If you lose a bracket in back, sometimes the wire can become bothersome. If the wire is poking you, have someone cut the wire with a nail clipper or wire cutter. You can cut the wire flush to the next bracket. Do not worry about ruining anything, there is relatively nothing you can do to damage your braces that we cannot fix. The important thing is that you are as comfortable as possible during your treatment. Sometimes you may notice a bothersome wire and yet you have not lost a bracket. This can be due to many reasons. The wire that is placed is constantly working and moving your teeth in small increments that is hard for the eye to see. Your teeth are constantly moving and that may allow for a small amount of the wire to seem to "grow" out the last bracket. Again, this is perfectly normal and can be addressed by cutting the wire.
