CROWN OR BRIDGE

It is important to remember that you have a temporary crown or bridge after your visit. This protects and serves as a placeholder while your custom crown or bridge is being prepared. It is important that you do NOT floss in this area until the permanent crown or bridge is placed. Avoid eating sticky foods to ensure your temporary crown or bridge does not come off. Should your temporary become loose or fall off, please call us immediately.

This temporary restoration is not intended for long term use. It is imperative that you have the temporary replaced with the permanent restoration. Failure to do so can result in the permanent restoration not fitting correctly, necessitating further impressions and costs.

After your first visit you may experience discomfort in the treatment areas. Your teeth may become sensitive to pressure or cold. You may try brushing with Sensodyne if your teeth become sensitive.

After your temporary is removed and the permanent crown or bridge is placed it is normal to have a period of "adjustment". Please allow a couple of days to adjust to your new restoration. If after several days you are still experiencing discomfort please call us immediately.
